Phantom Hourglass Sand of Hours
The Sand of Hours is the sand that helps fuel the Phantom Hourglass. Link receives the hourglass during his second venture into the Temple of the Ocean King. Once he gets the hourglass, it comes filled with 10 minutes of sand. Throughout his journey, Link will collect 10 more minutes of sand, getting two minutes from each of the five main bosses after receiving the hourglass. There are however, five other locations where Link can acquire sand, each holding 1 minute of the sand of hours. All together, the Phantom Hourglass when completely filled, can hold 25 minutes of sand. Below is a listing of all the locations that Link can get sand.

Time: 10 Minutes
Location: Temple of the Ocean King
After defeating Blaaz, the boss of the Temple of Fire, return to the Temple of the Ocean King to get the Phantom Hourglass. It comes filled with 10 minutes of sand.

Time: 2 Minutes
Location: Temple of Wind
After defeating Cyclok, the boss of the Temple of Wind, Link will gain 2 minutes of additional sand.
Sand of Hours #3
Time: 1 Minute
Location: Southwest Quadrant - Northeast of Mercay Island
Requirement: Acquire Salvage Arm, Treasure Map #2
On Molida Island, after you solve the puzzle to find the second secret hideout of the Old Wayfarer, use the shovel to dig up the hole and drop down. Open the treasure chest here to get the Treasure Map. The corresponding Sunken Treasure is located just Northeast of Mercay Island.

Location: Southwest Quadrant - West of Cannon Island
Requirement: Acquire Salvage Arm, Treasure Map #9
When you make your way back to Linebeck's Ship, after getting the Courage stamp on your map from the Temple of the Ocean King, there is a man by the dock who calls out to you. He'll talk about the Salvage Arm that is now available over at Cannon Island. If you tell him you already have the Salvage Arm, he will sell you a Treasure Map for just 50 rupees. The corresponding Sunken Treasure is located just West of Cannon Island.

Location: Temple of Courage
After defeating Crayk, the boss of the Temple of Courage, Link will gain 2 minutes of additional sand.
Sand of Hours #6
Time: 1 Minute
Location: Northwest Quadrant - North of Isle of Gust
Requirement: Acquire Salvage Arm, Treasure Map #11
On Floor B6 of the Temple of the Ocean King, use the Bow to shoot an arrow at the the eye switch located just west of the entrance. This will cause a treasure chest to appear at the northeast corner. Unfortunately you don't have much time and the Phantom Eyes, as well as Phantoms can get in the way. I suggest defeating the phantom eyes first. Open the treasure chest to get Treasure Chart. The corresponding Sunken Treasure is located just North of the Isle of Gust.

Location: Goron Temple
After defeating Dongorongo, the boss of the Goron Temple, Link will gain 2 minutes of additional sand.

Time: 2 Minutes
Location: Temple of Ice
After defeating Gleeok, the boss of the Temple of Ice, Link will gain 2 minutes of additional sand.

Time: 1 Minute
Location: Southeast Quadrant - Northwest of the Isle of Frost
Requirement: Acquire Salvage Arm, Treasure Map #23
On Floor B4 of the Temple of the Ocean King, there there two different locked doors that have staircases that lead down to Floor B5. The door at the northwest was blocked off due to some spikes. However, you can now send a Bombchu through the small holes, hitting the switch and lowering the spikes. Down on Floor B5, you can dig up the soil spot and hit the switch, allowing you to unlock the chest for the Treasure Map. The corresponding Sunken Treasure is located just Northwest of the Isle of Frost.

Location: Northwest Quadrant - Southeast of Bannan Island
Requirement: Acquire Salvage Arm, Treasure Map #4
After acquiring the Shovel, you can speak with Kayo and he gives you a hint that a treasure is buried just northeast of the entrance of the Temple of Fire. Dig up the small flower patch to find the Treasure Map. The corresponding Sunken Treasure is located just Southeast of Bannan Island.

After defeating Eox, the boss of Mutoh's Temple, Link will gain 2 minutes of additional sand.
