Gossip Stones in Twilight Princess can be found by looking for any area where Link can see butterflies flying around a particular area. If Link plays his harp, a Gossip Stone will rise from the ground, and as they come up a Treasure will also pop out (i.e. Monster Claw). If Link talks to them they will give him tips like in Ocarina of Time but in this game Link does not have to wear the Mask of Truth. Using different items will cause them to spin, shrink, and even fly into the sky like a rocket and explode. Don't worry, another one takes its place instantly. | Gossip Stones in Twilight Princess can be found by looking for any area where Link can see butterflies flying around a particular area. Ocarina of Time
A stone in Ocarina of Time that either tells you the time or when you are wearing the mask of truth tells you gossip
Without the mask
The stone will only tell you the time when you hit it. And when you select the stone you will be told that the stones stare is piercing into you.
With the mask
When Link wears the mask of truth the stone will still tell him the time when he hits it. But when Link selects the stone it will tell him gossip. The gossip is usually a helpful hint.
Majora's Mask
When a Gossip Stone is struck, it will provide Link with the remaining time till the Moon crashes into Clock Town. There are also several Gossip Stones located in holes throughout Termina, which Link can play music to to get Heart Pieces. An entire Heart Container can be gained by doing this.
Wind Waker
Hardly a Gossip Stone at all, the Pirate's Charm is an item that Link and Tetra carry with them to communicate. It was said to be an enhanced version of a Gossip Stone, made by Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule.
