The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker features 44 heart pieces scattered across the Great Sea, offering 11 Heart Containers to Link's total health.
Heart Piece #01
On the bottom floor of the room with the map in the Forsaken Fortress. In the corner behind the barrels there is a switch. Step on it to open the gate and open the chest inside the jail cell for the Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #02
Play Salvatore's Squid Game on Windfall Island and beat the game in less than 24 shots. You will be rewarded with a Piece of heart.
Heart Piece #03
On Windfall Island, play Hide and Seek with the Killer Bees and win. Ivan will give a this Piece of Heart as a reward.
Heart Piece #04
Sail to Pawprint Isle and crawl into the dome at the center of the island and drop into the grotto. Defeat the Red ChuChus along the way and open the treasure chest at the end for a Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #05
Play the letter sorting game on Dragon Roost Island and complete the 25 letter sort for Baito, afterwards mail the letter to his mother. She'll mail a reply back, and in it there will be Piece of Heart #5.
Heart Piece #06
After finishing the Forbidden Woods and obtaining Farore's Pearl, check a postbox for a letter from the Rito Chieftain, it will contain a Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #07
Climb up to the small island on Greatfish Isle, adjust the wind direction and float with the Deku Leaf northwest to a small ledge to find a treasure chest containing the next Piece of Heart.
Heart Piece #08
A Big Octo can be found to the north of Tingle Island, defeat it and then use the Grappling Hook to haul up the treasure where it was defeated. The chest contains Piece of Heart #8.
