— In-Game Description

The Seared Steak is a type of food found in Breath of the Wild. It heals 1½ hearts. It's one of the easiest foods to obtain, making it rather useful in the earliest portions of the game, but because of the low amount of hearts that it recovers, it's not very useful beyond the first hours of the game.

Obtaining

In order to get a piece of Seared Steak, Link must start a fire and simply put a piece of Raw Meat on it until it becomes a Seared Steak. It cannot be obtained by cooking one piece of Raw Meat in a Cooking Pot. They are often found in the midst of Bokoblin Camps on and around the Great Plateau. Another method to obtain it, it's to go to Death Mountain on the Eldin Region and drop a piece of Raw Meat on the floor, because of the temperature it will become a Seared Steak. It can also be randomly dropped by defeating Hinoxes.
