Sacred Grove
The Sacred Grove makes its first appearance in Twilight Princess. It serves as a portal between the grove, and the Temple of Time. The Sacred Grove was once the Temple of Time, but over the long years, trees grew, and temple grew old, turning it into ruins. The only thing left after this, was the Pedestal of Time, which held the Master Sword and a portal leading to the Temple of Time. Common enemies encountered in this area include Puppets, who attack in groups of four and respawn once they are defeated.
Master Sword
During the game, Zant casts a spell on Link, transforming him into a beast, meaning Link is now stuck in Wolf form. In order to return to normal, Link must obtain the Master Sword, the blade of evil's bane. Link will be tasked to reaching this place by going through the forest. Once investigating a Monkey will be running away from a group of Puppets, once Link has defeated the Puppets the Monkey will hint at to what is deep within the woods. Using Midnas jump feature, Link will be able to reach the Deep Gorge. Once navigating through this area he will come upon the entrance to the Sacred Grove. After howling near the Triforce mark it will make the Skull Kid appear, Link must chase the Skull Kid through the puzzling forest. After hitting the Skull Kid enough times he will make a new path appear leading to a new area. Here Link is put to a test by the Sacred Grove Guardians. After Link solves the puzzle, the path to the Master Sword is revealed, and the evil inside Link will be purged due to the presence of the Master Sword. Link will now be able to draw the Master Sword from the pedestal.
Temple of Time
Later on in the game Link will have to return to these Sacred Grounds. His goal this time around, is to find the portal leading to the Temple of Time. Rusl will tell Link about an ancient temple hidden deep within the forest. After meeting Rusl in the Faron Woods, he will call upon his partner, a Golden Cucco. Link now in Hylian form will have to use the Cucco to traverse across the Gorge. Once Link enters the Sacred Grove for the second time, he will again be greeted by the Skull Kid. When Link has navigated his way through the puzzling woods he will be able to access a new area. This area will, lead Link up onto a section looking over the grounds. A dormant Sacred Grove Guardian will be blocking the path, Link will have to strike the pedestal with the Master Sword to remove the guardian. The door will be the entrance to the Temple of Time.
There will also be a Golden Bug in this area, it is located near the broken stairwell leading up to the upper section to the entrance to the Temple of Time. There will also be three Poes located within the Sacred Grove. One will be located by where you face off against Skull Kid, another one will be located on a platform in the woods and the third will be located by the pedestal.
