Rupees are the unit of currency within most of the Zelda universe. It is used in: Hyrule, Koholint Island, Termina, Labrynna, Holodrum, the Great Sea, the World of the Ocean King, New Hyrule, and Skyloft.
Locations and Uses
Rupees can be found virtually anywhere. The most common ways Link can find Rupees is by breaking jars, cutting grass, and/or defeating various enemies.
Jars
After breaking a jar, something usually pops out of it. The most common item that appears is a Rupee. Other items that can be collected include Magic Jars, Recovery Hearts, Bombs, or Arrows.
