Energizing is an effect that is applied to food and elixirs in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

This Tears of the Kingdom section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

Energizing meals are created when Link cooks Stamella Shroom, Courser Bee Honey, Bright-Eyed Crab and/or Staminoka Bass in a Cooking Pot as part of a meal (with no conflicting effects). As can be seen in the table below, Staminoka Bass make more powerful Energizing meals than the alternatives for the same number of items.

Similarly, a Energizing Elixir can be made by cooking Restless Cricket and/or Energetic Rhino Beetle with Monster Parts.

This effect restores Link’s Stamina Wheel, to varying degrees depending on the ingredients, in increments of 1/5 of a wheel. This effect is useful when Link is performing a strenuous action (e.g. climbing) and does not have sufficient stamina to complete the action. Energizing meals & elixirs cannot give Link stamina beyond his current maximum, although Enduring meals & elixirs can.

Effect Points

Effects in Breath of the Wild come in tiers. In making an Energizing meal, a number of hidden points determine how strong the effect is, and thus the level of stamina they recover for Link:

Effect points and Energizing ingredients are shown in the table below - see Cooking in Breath of the Wild for the full table, including non-Energizing ingredients. Cooking under a Blood Moon, using a Star Fragment or dragon part also increases effect strength, and there is a random chance of this happening any other time; while Monster Extract randomises the strength of effect.

Tears of the Kingdom

This Tears of the Kingdom section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

Energizing meals and Energizing Elixirs are generated as in Breath of the Wild. An additional item, stambulbs, add a weak Energizing effect to meals.
