Forbidden Tingle Statue

The Forbidden Tingle Statue is one of the five Tingle Statues found in The Wind Waker.

Overview

The Forbidden Tingle Statue can be found as a hidden dungeon item in the Forbidden Woods. There is one Tingle Statue found in each of the five major dungeons of the game.

Location

Once Link is able to reach the Basement level of the Forbidden Woods, travel through the door to the west. After advancing one room further, he'll come to a room where there is a hanging platform. Link can cut the four ropes with the Boomerang, causing the platform to drop down into the water below. From here, he can drop down and pickup a nearby Bomb. Link can use this bomb to blast at the wooden boards, allowing Link to reach the adjacent room.

Once Link enters the room, he can turn to the right to find a small piece of land. Link can use the Tingle Tuner to place a Tingle Bomb here, or a standard Bomb in 'HD' version of the game. This will cause a Treasure Chest to appear containing the Forbidden Tingle Statue.

In The Wind Waker HD, we don't have Bombs the first time through the Forbidden Woods. However, in this same room, near the top of the room, there is a Bomb Flower. From the top of this room, Link can grab the bomb flower and toss it down, landing on this piece of land. If thrown correctly, it will blow up and reveal the treasure chest.

Reward

After Link finds the Forbidden Tingle Statue, it will automatically appear at Tingle Island. As Link collects the other Tingle Statues, they will also appear at the island. Link can talk to Ankle, who will reward Link with 50 Rupees for each of the Tingle Statues that he collects. Additionally, if Link collects all five statues, Ankle will reward Link with 500 rupees.

In The Wind Waker HD, once Link has acquired all five of the Tingle Statues, Knuckle will appear at Tingle Island.
