The Adult Ending is one of three endings of Ocarina of Time, which follows into the Adult Timeline.
After defeating Ganon and returning peace to Hyrule, Princess Zelda plays the Ocarina of Time, warping Link back to the past. Young Link observes Navi depart through the window of the Temple of Time. He is subsequently seen approaching Princess Zelda in the Hyrule Castle Courtyard.
But the world devastated by Ganon continues to exist on a separate continuity. With Ganondorf in the Sacred Realm, the people of Hyrulere build and form civilization anew Keeping his promise, however, Ganondorf returns to haunt Link and Zelda's descendants. He forms a pact with Zant breaking free from the Twilight Realm after an unsuccessful sealing in the Mirror of Twilight by the Ancient Sages. Thus begins the narrative of Twilight Princess.
