A Link to the Past Warps

A Link to the Past features eight Warp Tiles and one warp gate across Hyrule. After completing Hyrule Castle Tower and defeating Agahnim, Link will be transported to the Dark World. From this point on, these nine warps will allow Link to immediately travel from the Light World to the Dark World. Each Warp tile location is listed below.

• 

  Location: Hyrule Castle Entrance.

  Conditions: None.

  - After defeating Agahnim in Hyrule Castle Tower the gate leading into Hyrule Castle becomes a portal into the Dark World. Simply walk through it to reach the Dark World.

• 

  Location: Death Mountain.

  Conditions: None.

  - This Warp tile is located near the top of Death Mountain. It is located at the foot of the Tower of Hera, to the right of Spectacle Rock.

• 

  Location: North of Kakariko Village or south of the Lost Woods.

  Conditions: Optionally need the Titan's Mitt.

  - Go north from Kakariko Village to find this warp tile. You can use the Titan's Mitt to lift the large rock nearby, or simply go into the Lost Woods and hammer down the stakes from the other side.

  Location: South of the Eastern Palace.

  Conditions: None.

  - There is a secluded area south of the Eastern Palace that contains this tile. Use the Magic Hammer to push down the stakes and go into it.

• 

  Location: Northwestern corner of the Great Swamp.

  Conditions: None.

  - This one is in the northwestern corner of the Great Swamp. Smash the stakes with the Magic Hammer and step onto it.

• 

  Location: Lake Hylia.

  Conditions: After obtaining the Titan's Mitt.

  - There is a tile on the island in the middle of Lake Hylia. Lift the black rock with the Titan's Mitt to reveal it. Using this warp tile is required in order to access the Ice Palace.

• 

  Location: Desert of Mystery.

  Conditions: After obtaining the Flute and the Titan's Mitt.

  - Play the Flute and warp to the Desert of Mystery. Lift up the black rock and step into the tile to reach the Swamp of Evil. Misery Mire is here, and there is no other way to reach this area.

• 

  Location: Southern Death Mountain.

  Conditions: After obtaining the Titan's Mitt.

  - Along the lower area of Death Mountain lift up the black rock with the Titan's Mitt to find the tile below it.

• 

  Location: East of the Tower of Hera.

  Conditions: After obtaining the Titan's Mitt.

  - Go east from the Tower of Hera to find a new area. Lift the big black rock near the southern edge and climb to the top of this large platform. Smash down the stakes in the correct order (right, top, left). This will create a warp tile, which is the only way to access Turtle Rock.
