The 'Lons are a recurring group in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Ocarina of Time

The 'Lons first appear in Ocarina of Time, where Talon and his daughter Malon run Lon Lon Ranch. When Link is a child, Malon can be found looking for her father, who has gone to make a delivery at Hyrule Castle. However, Talon is also falling asleep and does so just outside of Hyrule Castle. While Malon is a hard-worker, Talon is much lazier, always being late and falling asleep.

When Link becomes an adult, Ganondorf takes away the ranch from Malon and Talon and insteads, awards the ranch to Ingo, the malevolent stablehead.

Oracle of Seasons

In Oracle of Seasons, The 'Lons can be found just north of Horon Village, near Eyeglass Lake. When Link first meets Malon, she is taking care of Cuccos, but has very little experience in doing so. Link can giver her the Cuccodex as part of the Trading Sequence, and in return, she will give Link a Lon Lon Egg.

Four Swords Adventures

In Four Swords Adventures, the 'Lons make an appearance, living in a house in The Field.

The Minish Cap

In The Minish Cap, the 'Lons have a similar appearance and role as they had in Ocarina of Time. They once again run Lon Lon Ranch, located east of Hyrule Town. During Link's quest, he'll learn that Talon has lost the key to his house and is locked outsides. Link is able to shrink down to Minish size and enter the house. After breaking a pot in the corner of the room, he'll acquire the Lon Lon Ranch Spare Key.
