Ponnick is a character found in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
Ponnick works alongside Daval and can be seen in the Depths at the bottom of the Hyrule Field Chasm. The two are both part of the Zonai Survey Team.
Camera Work in the Depths

After speaking with Robbie and Josha at Lookout Landing, this will begin the Camera Work in the Depths quest. When Link makes his way over to the Hyrule Field Chasm, he can jump down and he'll find Ponnick next to a small campfire. Robbie has since rushed ahead in the Depths and since Ponnick didn't have enough Brightbloom Seeds he had to fall behind.[1] Ponnick guides Link in the direction of the Nisoij Lightroot, and then a series of campfires where Link will find the Note on the Table.[2] From there, he'll eventually run into Robbie near the Iayusus Lightroot.
Ponnick informs Link on the importance of using Brightbloom Seeds in the Depths, as the light from the surface doesn't reach down below.[3][4] He encourages Link to use them to light up the way, either by throwing them with his hand, or attaching them to arrows to shoot them at a distance.
Master Kohga of the Yiga Clan

As part of the Master Kohga of the Yiga Clan quest, Link will travel to the Abandoned Gerudo Mine, Abandoned Lanayru Mine, and eventually the Abandoned Hebra Mine. When traveling to the Abandoned Hebra Mine, Link needs to find a Chasm that is directly underneath Rito Village.
After progressing the quest along, Link will find Ponnick stationed at Rito Village. Josha tasked him with searching for a chasm near Rito Village and he has set up a Campfire in the area. The chasm is tucked away in the side of the wall, beneath Rito Village. He guides Link to the Rito Village Chasm, which connects directly with the Abandoned Hebra Mine.
