The main character, as it is in every [[Zelda]] game, is [[Link]]. He starts out in an arena battle and wins 200 [[Rupees]] and a cow. [[Impa]] was watching and gets angry, but upon seeing he was going to send it to the farm, softens. She tells him to come to the forest because she has 'something important' to show him. She is trying to find [[Nayru]], the [[Oracle of Ages]]! In the forest, they come across a large rock with the [[Triforce]] symbol on it, and asks Link to move it. He does so, and they find Nayru! However, the evil Sorceress of Shadows, [[Veran]], appears and possesses Nayru! Then she uses the [[Harp of Ages]] to travel through the past to 'erase' Link. Then Nayru's best friend, [[Ralph]], appears and frets over the possession of Nayru. He tries to travel back to rescue her using the Harp of Ages, but Link grabs it and goes back instead. He wakes up long ago in the land of [[Labrynna]], and is supposedly in the middle of building the [[Black Tower]]. Link realizes [[Queen Ambi]], the one who ordered them to build the tower, is probably under the power of Veran. He refuses to build the tower and is sent to jail by Sir Raven, Link's own ancestor! He asks Ralph to play a song on the Harp of Ages, which he does. It reminds the Pirate Captain of Queen Ambi, his long-lost lover. He says to tell Ambi that he will always love her. Ralph and Link find out that Veran's weakness is [[Mystery Seeds]], and Raven gives him some. That night, Veran possesses Ralph and makes him burn the seeds. Then, Veran sends [[Ramrock]], a giant rock monster, to attack. But Link kills him. Veran decides that if she can't kill Link, she'll kill Raven, his ancestor, so he will cease to exist. They try to kill him, but Link stops them and finds Queen Ambi. He tells her about the Pirate Captain and gives her a necklace that Pirate Captain gave him to gives her. She explains that she wanted to make the tower so high so that Pirate Captain could see her, and orders the construction to stop. So, Veran possesses Queen Ambi instead. Nayru, back to normal, takes Ralph and Link back to the present day and shows them a Mystery Tree. It grows Mystery Seeds. They take a Mystery Seed and go back in time. They throw the seed at Veran, and it reveals her true form: a spider. Link defeats her and goes back to the present day. He decides to visit his grandma and grandpa's farm. In their living room, there hangs pictures of heroes from the past. One is Raven. And the biggest one, looking regal as ever, was a picture of Link himself! | ||

The Oracle of Ages Manga is yet another installment in the Zelda manga series. It is, in opinion, one of the most creative installments (Along with Oracle of Seasons and Minish Cap) because the author and illustrator, Akira Himekawa, must draw the characters, in a way designing them again because they were only originally sprites.
