Fishes appears in several Zelda games, and can be used for different usages.
A Link to the Past
Fishes can be caught in the drained water in the south of Light World, But if Link throws the fish back in the Pond, It says 'Thank You' and gives Link a number of Rupees, if Link goes and gives it to the Bottle Merchant, he gives Link a numerous of items.
