The Fire & Ice Arrows is an upgrade to the Hero's Bow in The Wind Waker and The Wind Waker HD that allows Link to shoot Fire Arrows or Ice Arrows in addition to his normal arrows. Link obtains this ability by using the Ballad of Gales to warp to Mother & Child Isles. Once there, the Queen of Fairies will give Link the power of the Fire & Ice Arrows. The Fire Arrows can be used to melt the ice at Ice Ring Isle, allowing Link to enter the cave there. Likewise, the Ice Arrows can be used to freeze the fire at Fire Mountain, allowing Link to enter the cave there as well.
Trivia
- Although Link can acquire the Ballad of Gales and warp to Mother & Child Isles immediately following the Tower of the Gods, if he does so he will be instructed to go to Forsaken Fortress to rescue Aryll first.
