Inside the cave, there is a big pile of Red Sediment. Link can fuse weapons with nearby Rocks to break at the sediment. Underneath, a Stalnox is buried and he'll come to life when enough of the sediment has been removed.

Looking at the wall to the northwest, there is more red sediment on the higher ledge, leading deeper in the cave. From there, the path leading southwest, beyond more sediment, leads to a room with a Bubbulfrog.
