Tears of the Kingdom

Scorpis is a guard who can be found at the center of town at Lookout Landing. He serves as the manager of Lookout Landing. When Link first arrives, he encourages him to talk to Purah.[1]

After speaking with Purah, Link can talk to Scorpis again and he'll give a more proper introduction to Link. He will tell Link that if he has any questions he should feel free to ask. Scorpis will also open the Emergency Shelter, the hidden bunker found below Lookout Landing.[2] He encourages Link to drop down below and feel free to make himself at home in the vault.[3] He mentions that while the shelter has Beds and a Cooking Pot, if Link needs ingredients or Armor, he should look at Mub's Shop, right here in town.[4]

Scorpis will tell Link the history of the Lookout Landing. It was originally established to research the Gloom beneath Hyrule Castle, but it has since expanded to become a search team for all those looking for Princess Zelda. The population of Lookout Landing has continued to grow as more people have decided to help in the search.[5]

After completing a non-Eldin Regional Phenomenon, Scorpis can be found with Zorona and Kairo. Zorona is yelling at Kairo for not remembering how to reach Goron City. Scorpis will help to diffuse the argument, and Kairo and Zorona will start walking to the city. Scorpis will tell Link how to reach the area as well, telling him to look towards Death Mountain in the distance.

Latest News

Link is able to speak with Scorpis throughout Tears of the Kingdom and ask him for the latest news. He will give a different answer, depending on the progress made so far.

  • Early on, Scorpis tells Link that a rule of the emergency shelter is that the newest team member has to do the cooking. Scorpis was once the cook, but got so frustrated that he just started throwing Apples at the fire.[6]

Did you hear? Josha is recruiting for her chasm research team! I don't know any details, but it sounds as if they made an amazing discovery. A few interviewees went to meet with her, but they all walked away with slumped shoulders. I wonder who'll get the job. It would take quite a résumé to impress a genius like Josha.
