Breath of the Wild Walkthrough Chapter 1.2: Oman Au Shrine |
Oman Au Shrine, also known as the Magnesis Trial, is one of the many Shrine of Trials from Breath of the Wild.
Overview
Early on in Link's quest, he will raise the Resurrection Tower and shortly after that, the Old Man will seek Link out. The Old Man tells Link that in order to leave the Great Plateau, Link must first acquire the Paraglider. The Old Man points Link in the direction of the Oman Au Shrine, stating that there most likely is some nice treasure deep inside and that he will trade the Paraglider for that treasure. Oman Au Shrine is one of the requires Shrines that Link must complete in order to progress in the game. While the Old Man points Link in the direction of Oman Au Shrine, Link can complete the first four Shrines in any desired order.
Location
The Shrine is located at the northeast portion of the Great Plateau, just north of the Resurrection Tower. The Shrine will appear once the Resurrection Tower has been erected. Once Link reaches the Shrine, he can open up the entrance by placing the Sheikah Slate into the pedestal.
Upon activating the pedestal just outside, the Oman Au Shrine will be added to your Sheikah Slate as a quick warp location in the Great Plateau.
Magnesis Trial
At the nearby pedestal, Link will acquire the Magnesis Rune for his Sheiakah Slate. This Rune will give Link the Magnesis ability, which allows Link to move metallic objects. The Shrine acts as a tutorial for this ability, as Link is required to use Magnesis to move large metallic plates to reveal hidden passages, destroy barriers, creates bridges, and open doors. Link is also able to use Magnesis to pull over distant treasure chests that otherwise would not be able to be retrieved.
At the conclusion of the Shrine, Link will meet up with the Monk, Oman Au. He is the creator of this trial and as a reward for completing the trial, he will reward Link with a Spirit Orb.
