The Forbidden Woods is the second dungeon in The Wind Waker. Inside of it, Link finds the Boomerang by defeating Mothula and other foes. Nintendo makes use of the boomerang with Kalle Demos, an evil, plant-like creature which is the boss of this dungeon.
Story
Link is sent into the woods by the Great Deku Tree to rescue Makar who is supposed to perform a ceremony to make new deku seeds to grow new forests across the great sea.
As Link Progress through Forbidden woods, you find the boomerang which can help you get down giant plants to use as platforms.and he can use the deku leaf to blow wind to navigate trough water on the plant
All of this is leading up to Kalle Demos which is the boss of Forbidden Woods after defeating Kalle Demos you rescue Makar and you go back to the Deku Tree to perform the ceremony.
After the Ceremony The Koroks leave to spread new forest across the Great Sea and the Deku tree gives Link the Faores pearl to commend him for his courage in rescuing Makar in the Forbidden Woods
Gaining Entrance
After Link saves the Great Deku tree he is told to go into the Forbidden woods to rescue Makar who fell in. Sense Link cannot fly the deku tree grants him one his leaf so he can go to the forbidden woods. After making his way up the great Deku tree Link earns the Leaf he then goes outside of the Forest Haven and uses tornado to float over to the 2nd dungeon The Forbidden Woods.
Dungeon overview
The inside is Forest you can actually see old house there sighs that the Koraks use to live there a long time ago. The dungeon hub is the center has a giant Flower supended in the air you go back there after you get the Boomerang after defeating Mothula Link cuts the lines suspending The giant flower it drops to the Lower part of the dungeon. From the bottom of the dungeon Link finds the boss Key and heads back up then heads towards the Boss Kalee Demos.
Characteristics
This dungeon has puzzles that use the Deku Leaf Link received from the Deku Tree and the boomerang to cut down giant plants, which Link can also use as platforms and use the deku leaf to blow wind to navigate trough water and to cut the tentacles of Kalle Demos The boss of this dungeon
Kalle Demos
The boss of the Forbidden woods. Link sees Makar in the middle of the room,he runs to him and a giant plant monster comes up and eats Makar and use tentacles to supend form the ceiling. Link must use the Boomerang to cut down the tentacles and attack the plant that ate Makar and if you do not hurry the Plant will eat you up and spit you out. Kalle Demos uses his vines to whip at Link just avoid them and repeat the process to defeat Kalle demos. Makar will be free at ask you to take him back to the great deku tree Just grab the piece of heart and head to the portal to end the dungeon.
