The Wiki

I think that things are going well here, don't you agree? — ~David (Talk) 11:58, October 19, 2011 (CDT)

Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for all your help! — zeldahuman (Need some Advice?) 19:12, October 23, 2011 (CDT)
That's my job! Here to help.— Emma (Talk) 19:14, October 23, 2011 (CDT)

Hi, so basically, I've been looking for a 3d model file of a bokoblin from skyward sword, but can't find any anywhere. However, the closest I can get is an image of a 3d model on this wiki. I found the image via google, so can't find the exact page that it was on, and I was wondering if there is a way to trace it back and try and find where I could get the 3d model. Here is a link to the image: https://www.zeldadungeon.net/wiki/images/9/91/Bokoblin_Blue_Model.png Sorry if I've put this in the wrong place or written it wrong, or something, as I've never done this before and don't really 100% know how it works. Either way, thanks for your time. --Boko (talk) 15:20, April 2, 2018 (UTC)

Gallery

How do you make a gallery? Please hepl. — zeldahuman (Need some Advice?) 21:22, October 23, 2011 (CDT)

Like this:
<gallery>
File:Image1.png|Caption1
File:Image2.png|Caption2
File:Image3.png|Caption3
</gallery>

The captions are optional. And you can add as many images as you want.— Emma (Talk) 21:24, October 23, 2011 (CDT)
Thanks Matt! This hepled alot! ^_^ — zeldahuman (Need some Advice?) 21:27, October 23, 2011 (CDT)

There are also these boxes with tabs and little pictures in them with captions and I want to edit some of them on the Skyward Sword page. I also want to know how to make them. Zelda101 09:50, March 25, 2012 (CDT)

Uploading Files

I am having trouble uploading image files. They are definitely not too large (200-300KB), and I have tried using .png, .jpg, and .jpeg. For some reason, I keep getting the message, "File extension does not match MIME type." Do you know what the problem might be?-InoShikaCho-(Talk) 16:54, October 28, 2011 (CDT)

Are you sure the file type you're entering in matches the original file type of the image? That's what that message means. If you keep getting it you can try resaving the image as one of those file types.— Emma (Talk) 20:54, October 28, 2011 (CDT)
Thanks. For some reason I thought that if you change a file extension the file actually changes types, but I guess that's not true.-InoShikaCho-(Talk) 21:13, October 28, 2011 (CDT)

Request

Hey, I made a huge mistake by confusing Bokoblins with Bulbins and went and made sub sections etc. So my request being could you change the name of Bokoblin Warriors to Twilight Princess Bokoblins.. Thanks :)

Hey I wanted to add the music in the Anniversary CD that came with Skyward Sword so that it can kind of match the track listing. I have seen in some wiki articles that they put in the music but I want to know how to that so that everyone who checks out the wiki can hear it. I have already set up the track listing and such but I think it would have a special touch with the actual music. Thanks!

Hey, so I found a very nice looking Zelda 64 (OoT) ROM Hack, and I have all the links for it, so I was wondering if you could help me set it up over at the Fan Games page. If you could, that would be awesome, as I am still trying to learn how to use MediaWiki, so all I can do are basic edits. I don't know how to add whole new sections yet. Thanks! Hi. I'm new on the wiki, and I wanted to contribute, so I looked at the "Current Projects" page and saw that a page for "A Link to the Past Locations" hadn't even been created yet (it had one of those red links), so I decided to make one. It might have been a little ambitious for me, seeing as I'm new and all, but I used the "Locations" pages from other games on the wiki as examples and started making it as well as I could. There isn't that much there, but could you just take a quick look and tell me if I'm doing it right? It would help me out a lot. External Advertising Detected

Hi,

I just noticed that GuyLevy972's user page contains external advertising. I though it would be discourteous to remove but that I should tell an Admin instead. Curly 14:23, November 7, 2011 (CST)

Thanks for the head's up. That's just a spam bot, not an actual person. A number of wikis have been hit by that type of one in the last couple months. I'll take care of it.— Emma (Talk) 15:43, November 7, 2011 (CST)

Wiki Problem

On the Impa wiki in the Skyward Sword section there is some funny letters and numbers that can't be edited out since they don't appear in the section. Do you think you could fix this? User:Loftwing 17:14, December 2, 2011‎

Please sign your posts with ~~~~. I put it in for you. And about that weird text you're seeing, it's a glitch caused by the recent update to the wiki. I'll bring it up and see what we can do about it.— Emma (Talk) 02:12, December 3, 2011 (CST)

Linking to Subsections of Pages

On most wikis, some of the links lead to a subsection of a page. For instance, if I were writing a page about the Great Bay Temple in Majora's Mask, I might want to add a link that goes directly to the Bio Deku Baba section of the Deku Baba page. What is the correct way to do this? -InoShikaCho-(Talk) 18:16, January 25, 2012 (CST)

Like this: [[Deku Baba#Bio Deku Baba|Bio Deku Baba]] This will give you a link like this: Bio Deku Baba. The second part, after the |, called a pipe, is what is displayed for the link.— Emma (Talk) 22:05, January 25, 2012 (CST)

Video's and Walkthrough's

Hi Matt,

i was just curious as to weather or not there is a possibility for all the videos for a select few games and the actual text walkthrough's be emails through

thanks

Suggestion for Improvement

What if contributors could receive "badges" at their profile as WCG have: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,39362  the preceding unsigned post by Yggdrasil (contribs) at 17:38, September 21, 2016‎ (UTC)

We used to have something like that before. I'm trying to get it reimplemented. In the future, please add new comments to the bottom of talk pages, not the top. And sign them with ~~~~ at the end. — Emma (Talk) 04:38, October 1, 2016 (UTC)

For Emma...

Hey Emma, you might recognise me from Forums, but anyway...when my mother visited me in Hospital...she sneaked onto my laptop and blocked Forums so I can't go on it AT ALL. I can only go on it during week days since my friends visit me then and I can use their phones if they let me. But i can't go on at all on the weekends since well, it's blocked. So...I'm hoping...if when Kris comes back, please please tell him to message me on my talk page because I still want to talk to him and want us to work out. Like...please just PM him saying "go talk to TA on her talk page on ZD Wiki" please...<3  the preceding unsigned post by TattooArtist (contribs) at 11:24, November 5, 2016‎ (UTC)

I'll pass it along. I can't promise any particular outcome though.— Emma (Talk) 02:10, November 11, 2016 (UTC)

Reply to Moving Pages

Thanks for the advice. I tried moving one of the incorrect pages that I saw, but I didn't see an option to do so. The pages I was trying to move were the Goroko Lake page (because it's misspelled and should be Gorko Lake) and Akkala Lake (the order of the words are backwards and should be Lake Akkala). I was also unsure how to make a talk page about this issue since I'm new to editing the wiki.

First of all, put your signature at the very end of the last line, don't put it on a new line. Don't manually type your name. Use four tildes (~~~~) to sign it. You make a talk page by just clicking on the talk page tab at the top of the page and it'll create one when you save the page. And always reply to something on the page it started on. Don't jump between talk pages like this. Indent your replies with one colon per indentation. After five or so replies, the next reply should start over with no indent. — Emma (Talk) 23:57, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

Item infobox

I started a discussion about the item infobox at Template_talk:Infobox. I'm not sure how many people would normally see that, though, so I also wanted to leave this comment about it on the userpages of admins and some other editors who seem to have shown interest in templates. A Question

Why does everyone call you Matt? You're Emma. Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 00:33, April 17, 2017 (UTC)

Tried to fix the broken infobox, did not succeed

I noticed that the infobox on the Bomb Flower page was broken. I tried to fix it and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I compared it to the working infobox on the Bomb page, but didn't see any differences between them. Could you please see what's wrong with it?
