Template:Enemy

A Soldier is a common enemy and weak enemy that has appeared in both A Link to the Past and Four Swords Adventures.

Appearances

A Link to the Past

Multiple different types of the Soldier appear in A Link to the Past.

Soldier(Gold)

The Gold Soldiers are not actual enemies, but they are soldiers that have not yet been taken over by Agahnim's magic. They have no weapons but wield huge Shields. These are the very first soldiers that Link encounters in his quest, located on the outskirts of Hyrule Castle. They prevent Link from accessing much of the Overworld, and their primary purpose is to offer Link advice. They will tell Link how to use his Map, how to swing his Sword, and how to do other basic functions.

Soldier (Green Short-Sword)

The Green short sworded Soldier is the weakest soldier in A Link to the Past. They patrol Hyrule Castle while wielding small dagger like blades and a small shield. They will charge directly at Link if they see him other wise they don't react to his movement at all.

These soldiers are easily killed by using Link's Sword.

Soldier (Green)

The Green Soldiers are the most common ones in A Link to the Past. They follow routes then they react to the sound Link makes or his movement, then they'll charge at him with their swords.

When Link is in combat with these Soldiers the sound of the fight might attract the attention of more soldiers. Link will then have to have to fight them one by one. They are also susceptible to being knocked into pits if Link sneaks behind them.

Soldier (Blue)

The Blue Soldier are slightly stronger than the Green Soldier. Besides this they are exactly the same.
