Ozunda

Ozunda is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Ozunda runs the Foothill Stable, found just west of Cephla Lake on the path that leads to Goron City. He runs both the Stable and the Inn. When talking to Ozunda from outside, Link can take a horse, board a horse, or register a new horse.[1] From the inside of the stable, Link can talk to Ozunda to rent out a bed. Ozunda offers two types of beds, a regular bed for 20 rupees, and a Soft Bed for 40 rupees.[2]

Tears of the Kingdom

Ozunda manages the Foothill Stable. When Link first arrives at the Stable for the first time, he'll give Link a Pony Point.[3] If Link has gathered enough points, Ozunda will encourage him to look at the Pony Points Ledger.[4]

Ozunda mentions that the path to the northwest that leads to Goron City has been busted up since the Upheaval. It's not the most safe path and instead, Ozunda recommends Link go the long road to Woodland Stable and then travel up to Goron City from there.[5]

A Picture for Foothill Stable

Main article: A Picture for Foothill Stable

After completing one of the Regional Phenomena, as well as acquiring the Camera as part of the Camera Work in the Depths quest, Link can examine the empty picture frame on the wall in the stable. Ozunda will mention that The Stable Association asked them to hang the signs up to get ready for paintings to be put up.[6]

Ozunda wants to get a picture of the Goron Champion, Daruk. He mentions the big statue that is sculpted into the mountain that overlooks Goron City is of Daruk. He needs to get a good look at the statue and needs some kind of image to use as a reference.[7] If Link warps to the Marakuguc Shrine, he can get a view of the Daruk sculpture, located just northwest of the city.

After showing the picture to Ozunda, he'll mention that it is exactly what he was looking for and he'll ask Link if he can paint a copy. He comments that the picture captures the essence of the renowned champion.[8] After Ozunda has painted a picture, he will reward Link with a Pony Point, as well as a Fireproof Elixir.[9][10][11]

  1. Welcome! Welcome to our fine stable! Do you want to register a horse? Take one out for a ride? - Ozunda
  2. Welcome! Will you be staying with us? A regular bed will cost you 20 rupees. A soft bed is 40. - Ozunda
  3. "Ah, welcome to Foothill Stable. Thank you for supporting the Stable Association! Since this is your first time here, we'll add one point to your Pony Points!" — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
  4. "Oh! It looks like you've got some points saved up, Link. If you want to get your reward, step up to the side counter where I keep the ledger, then call me over." — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
  5. "Well, the mountain path that leads to the northwest from here connects with Goron City. But the road's been busted up since the Upheaval and isn't used much. These days, it's mostly just a den for monsters—and a dangerous one at that. You may want to take a safer route to Goron City. If so, I recommend you head south along the road, turn to the west, and then take the mountain path from Woodland Stable." — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
  6. "Ah, Link, has that empty frame caught your eye? We stable owners are going to be putting paintings on display for everyone to enjoy. The Stable Association figured it'd be a good idea for us to hang the frames first to get ready." — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
  7. "We're a stepping-stone for folks who want to do some sightseeing in Goron City off to the northwest. So, I was thinking, maybe I'll hang a painting of the sculpture of the Goron Champion, Daruk. You know...the big statue that's sculpted into the mountain overlooking the city. Ah, but I'll need to get a look at it if I'm going to paint it. And there's just no time for that. If I had some kind of image to use as reference, well, it'd be no problem to paint up something nice for the wall here." — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
  8. "What's this? Did you bring me a picture of the Daruk sculpture?! Can I see it? Aha! This is exactly the picture I asked for! This would really liven up the look around here. Is it OK if I paint a copy? Thank you! It captures the essence of the renowned Champion, don't you think? You can really sense Daruk's strength, even here. Now, just give me a moment to whip up a reproduction. Haha, don't worry! I'm quite good at this, I promise." — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
  9. "I knew it! It's perfect for this stable! And it's all thanks to you, Link. I have to say, I'm quite proud of how this turned out! *sigh* It was so much fun to paint again after all this time. In fact, I'm enjoying this so much that if you end up with a different picture of the Daruk sculpture, please let me know. I'll be sure to paint that one too and hang it in the frame! To show you my appreciation, I'm giving you one Pony Point." — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
  10. "Yes, and take this too! It's something a traveler like you will find handy when faced with harsh terrain and weather." — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
  11. "Thank you for a truly splendid picture. Please, feel free to use the stable whenever you want." — Ozunda, Tears of the Kingdom
