'''Octogon''' is the [[boss]] of [[Mermaid's Cave]], the sixth [[dungeon]] in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages|Oracle of Ages]]''. It is a giant octopus that swims in the water. It attacks [[Link]] above water by shooting rocks at him, and below water, it either traps Link in a bubble to make him vulnerable to attack, or it runs into him. There are two strategies to fight this boss: using Link's sword or the [[Seed Shooter]] equipped with [[Scent Seed]]s. If Link chooses to use his sword, he can simply slash at it when it is on the surface and while it is under water. Keep in mind that if Link is using his sword, he will be very vulnerable to its bubble attack. If you opt for using scent seeds, shoot at it while it is above the surface, and when it is below the water, dive after it, and when it is directly behind Link, shoot seeds at the wall in front of him so they bounce back and hit it. Octogon is the boss of Mermaid's Cave, the sixth dungeon in Oracle of Ages. It is a giant octopus that swims in the water. It attacks Link above water by shooting rocks at him, and below water, it either traps Link in a bubble to make him vulnerable to attack, or it runs into him. There are two strategies to fight this boss: using Link's sword or the Seed Shooter equipped with Scent Seeds.
