Leaf being upgraded at the Spirit Spring

Leaf is the Spirit of Power, one of the three spirits who are required in order to track down the Ghost Ship. He is the first spirit that Link rescues from the Temple of Fire on the Isle of Ember. When Leaf is upgraded by collecting Power Gems and offers them at the Spirit Spring on Spirit Island, an island south of Molida Island, it enables Link to have the option to equip Leaf. This allows Link's blade to be enveloped in fire and it deals more damage to foes.
