A Link to the Past

Ocarina of Time

In the Past, Kakariko Village was a small village near Hyrule Castle Town. It housed a few villagers, but nothing of notable interest. Link passes through the village in order to reach Goron City to recover the Goron's Ruby. The Kakariko Graveyard is in town as well. The House of the Skulltula is also located here.

In the Future, Kakariko Village grew exponentially, as many fled here after Hyrule Castle Town was destroyed by Ganondorf. It now houses a Shooting Gallery, Potion Shop, and many more residents. The Gravekeeper, Dampe has since died and will reward whoever can beat his ghost in a race with the Hookshot, required to enter the Forest Temple.

Four Swords Adventures

Twilight Princess

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Kakariko village is the main village of the Eldin Province, the second province in the game. The village was previously a real mine workers village. Since the mine at Death Mountain is closed, it doesn't serve that function, an people moved out of the village. Even the Gorons didn't show their face in Kakariko village anymore.

The village is situated at the foot of Death Mountain, always lying in its shadow. It has a dessert climate, which means it does never rain in Kakariko. Kakariko is not connected to the main desert in the game, Gerudo Desert. Kakariko is situated in the far east on the wii, and the far west on the Gamecube.

The village itself has just a few buildings. There are three main buildings you will enter frequently throughout your quest: Barnes' Shop and Malo's Mart. Barnes justs sells different types of bombs. Malo sells red potion, arrows and the two types of shields.

Kakariko also has its own graveyard, where you can find a secret entrance to a new area, a heart piece, and two poe souls
