Hroks are bird enemies that have appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Hroks are giant birds found mainly in Lanayru Desert. They sit high in the air on a perch, and fly above Link when he approaches them. Once they are above him, they will spit out a boulder and try to drop it on his head.
Since they never land on the ground, Link must use a projectile weapon to defeat them. Link can picking up a Bomb Flower with the Beetle and dropping it on these birds from above. Later in the game, Link can shoot them down from a distance with only one strike from his Bow and Arrows. When a Hroks are defeated, they will drops 20 Rupees.
