Goombas are popular enemies from Super Mario Bros. games that made cameo appearances in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

Appearances

Link's Awakening

Goombas are mushroom-shaped enemies that walk side to side in the underground passages or dungeons. Any weapon will defeat a Goomba in one hit. They can only deal half a heart of damage by contact, so Goombas are very weak enemies.

They're also great to kill if you're low on hearts. Equip your Roc's Feather and jump on top of a Goomba to defeat it and you'll get a Recovery Heart. If you don't have the Roc's Feather yet, you can drop off the side of a higher platform onto the Goomba.
