The Ache are bat-like enemies related to the Keese that have appeared in The Adventure of Link.
Appearances
The Adventure of Link
Aches are bat-like creatures that are mostly found in caves. They swoop down to attack whenever Link goes beneath them.[1][2][3] Earlier in the game when Link can't see well in caves, they can be threatening. But, after he obtains the Candle and more attack power, they become easier to defeat. There are two variations of Aches in this game.
Blue Ache
Blue Ache are mostly found in caves or trees. When Link is near, they dive down in an attempt to attack him before retreating to forest or cave ceiling. They deal a small amount of damage and can be killed with a sword slash. Link gains 3 experience points for defeating The Blue Ache.
Purple Ache
This purple variety of Aches can only be found in the cursed town of Darunia. This Aches is called "Eyes of Ganon" by townsfolk because they can disguise themselves as ordinary villagers.[4] After Link talking to certain villager of the town, they may transform back into their Ache form.
