— In-Game Description

The Warm Darner is a dragonfly and material found in Breath of the Wild. It can be cooked with monster parts to create an elixir that will provide cold resistance or sold to shop-vendors for 2 rupees.

The Warm Darner is most commonly found in the Akkala Highlands or Hyrule Field, but it is also sold by Maypin at the Gerudo Canyon Stable for 10 rupees.

Cooking

A Warm Darner can be cooked alongside monster parts to create Elixirs. The Warm Darner will give Link Cold Resistance. When cooked with a monster part that has no specific enhancement, such as a Bokoblin Horn, Link will create a Spicy Elixir. This will temporarily allow Link to travel into colder climates without taking damage. If Link cooks a Warm Darner along with food, it will result in Link making Dubious Food.

As an alternative ingredient, Link can also cook a Summerwing Butterfly. The Summerwing Butterfly and Warm Darner have identical effects when cooking elixirs.
