In Skyward Sword, the Spiral Charge is the technique that Link's Loftwing learns in order to rid Levias of his parasite. In order for Link's Loftwing to learn the Spiral Charge, Instructor Owlan tests its capability through target practice. If his Loftwing is able to take out 10 targets in less than 120 seconds, then it masters the Spiral Charge technique.
