It is a relative of the [[Deku Scrub]] and seems to be a frenzied version of the regular business happy Deku Scrub. It is an almost exact look-alike from the regular Deku Scrub. The only difference is its autumn leaf difference. Its skin is also slightly greener, both of these differences signify its madness. These ferocious Deku Scrubs habitats generally in swamps and forests, indicated from the appearances of the Mad Scrubs being only in swamps and forests.

The behavior of the Mad Scrub is well known for the fact that it won't back down to sell you items or tell you hints, but will instead run away from you until it gets back to its bush. It also shoots three [[Deku Nut]]s instead of one. Like its relatives, it will hide from you if he get to close.

The Mad Scrub is an enemy that appears in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. It is a relative of the Deku Scrub and seems to be a frenzied version of the regular business happy Deku Scrub. It is an almost exact look-alike from the regular Deku Scrub. The only difference is its autumn leaf difference. Its skin is also slightly greener, both of these differences signify its madness. The Mad Scrubs in Ocarina of Time are first found flocking the Sacred Forest Meadow as a child while searching for Saria to find her hideout and learn her song. As an adult, they are found in the Kokiri Forest, being dominant by fierce enemies under the actions ensued by Ganondorf. When Link has ventured through and completed the Forest Temple, the subjugation of the forest is over, and the residents of the Kokiri Forest comes out of their houses safely.
