King Daltus is an character appearing in The Minish Cap. He is the King of Hyrule and father of Princess Zelda and is also the successor of his ancestor King Gustaf.
He can first be seen in the game when the Picori Blade is presented to Vaati, the latest winner of the sword-fighting tournament. And when he breaks the Picori Blade and transform Princess Zelda into stone, King Daltus, Minister Potho, Link and Master Smith meets in a room in Hyrule Castle and discusses about how to recover Princess Zelda and reforging a new sacred blade. They decide that Link, will be set out on an journey in order to recover Princess Zelda and find out how to reforge the new sacred blade. After the disruption of Vaati, he caused an earthquake that tore the place down. King Daltus gave an order to Mutoh to let his Carpenters build up the location.
