Hasty is a Speed Up effect that is applied to food and elixirs in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Hasty meals are created when Link cooks Fleet-Lotus Seeds, Rushrooms, Swift Carrots and/or Swift Violets in a Cooking Pot as part of a meal (with no conflicting effects). As can be seen in the table below, Swift Violets and Fleet-Lotus Seeds make more powerful Hasty meals than the alternatives for the same number of items.

Similarly, a Hasty Elixir can be made by cooking Hot-Footed Frogs and/or Hightail Lizards with Monster Parts.

Hasty meals & elixirs give Link the Speed Up effect, temporarily increasing his movement rate.

Effect Points

Main article: Cooking in Breath of the Wild

Effects in Breath of the Wild come in tiers. In making a Hasty meal, a number of hidden points determine how strong the effect is, and thus how much it speeds Link's movement up:

Point Threshold Effect Tier
1 Hasty.png
5 Hasty.pngHasty.png
7 Hasty.pngHasty.pngHasty.png

Effect points and durations of Hasty ingredients are shown in the table below. Note that other, otherwise-neutral ingredients (notably dragon parts) also increase durations - see Cooking in Breath of the Wild § Durations for the full table. Cooking under a Blood Moon, using a Star Fragment or dragon part also increases duration or effect strength, and there is a random chance of this happening any other time; while Monster Extract randomises both strength and duration of effect.

Items Points Time Added
Fleet-Lotus Seeds 2 1:00
Rushroom 1 1:00
Swift Carrot 1 1:00
Swift Violet 2 1:00

Tears of the Kingdom

This Tears of the Kingdom section is a stub. You can help the Zelda Dungeon Wiki by expanding it.

Hasty meals and Hasty Elixirs are generated as in Breath of the Wild.
