Faron is a character who makes an appearence in Twilight Princess. Faron is the second Light Spirit Link meets and the first saved from the Twilight. It is the master of the Faron Province, and it's spring is the location of the game's opening cutscene. It informs Link of his destiny as the chosen hero of Hyrule, and gives him the Hero's Clothes. It appears as an immense monkey/scorpion creature, with a monkey's head an a lengthy spiked tail.
