Pulse of the Ancients is the first of two DLC packs as part of the Age of Calamity Age of Calamity Expansion Pass, and was released on June 18, 2021. First showcased at a Nintendo Direct on February 17 2021, it added new playable character(s), new weapons, stronger enemies, and new challenges.

- A "Battle-Tested Guardian" playable character
- New flail weapon for Link
- Master Cycle Zero for Zelda
- "Apocolyptic" difficulty level
- A new stage called "In the Royal Ancient Lab"
- More challenging enemies such as more powerful Wizzrobes and Giant Chuchus
