"Beasts drop double Rupees"

— In-Game Description[1]

The Red Joy Ring is a Magical Ring that Link acquires in Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. Link can acquire the ring by planting a Gasha Seed and finding it within a Gasha Nut. Link can also acquire it in a Seed Ring form by bumping into Maple. The ring can also be acquired through a Fortune Link at Vasu's jewelry store.

When equipped, the Red Joy Ring doubles the value of all Rupees collected. Despite its description that states it doubles Rupees dropped by beasts, it effects other Rupees as well. Any Rupees found underneath bushes or by digging with the Shovel also have double the value. It does not matter the value of the Rupees as it effects all of them. However, this does not effect Rupees collected within Treasure Chests.

There are similar rings in form of the Blue Joy Ring that effects Recovery Hearts and the Green Joy Ring, which effects Ore Chunks. However, all these Rings become obsolete in comparison to the Gold Joy Ring, which carries all the attributes of the Red, Blue, and Green Joy Rings, plus more.
