Sage of Wind is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
The Sage of Wind first appears as a voice, summoning Link and Tulin to the Wind Temple.
After Link defeats Colgera, the Sage of Wind will appear in front of Link and Tulin.[1] The Sage of Wind introduces himself as one of Tulin's ancestors from a long time ago who proudly served Rauru, Hyrule's first king. As a Rito warrior, he was a sage how commanded control of the wind.[2] He states that Colgera was the source of the Blizzard and it was summoned by the Demon King in an attempt to prevent Tulin from acquiring his Secret Stone.[3] The Sage of Wind will then tell the story of the Imprisoning War to Tulin and Link.[4]
Imprisoning War

When Hyrule was in its early days, the Demon King descended on the land and sought to wipe out anybody who opposded him. To counter this, Rauru requested the aid of five warriors, including the Sage of Wind. To help them fight, Rauru gifted a Secret Stone, which amplified the sages already formidable abilities.[5] Despite their efforts, the sages and Rauru were no match for the Demon King. In order to save Hyrule, Rauru sacrificed himself in order to seal the Demon King away.[6]
After the battle, the Sage of Wind would later receive a request from the Sage of Time, Princess Zelda.[7][8] She stated that the Demon King will someday return. When that time comes, a swordsman named Link will oppose him. She pleads to the Sage of Wind that when the time comes, summon the wind and support the hero.[9]
The message from the Sage of Time was clear, and the Sage of Wind swore to honor this request.[10] When the time comes when the DemonK ing returns, the Rito Sage of Wind will awaken and Hyrule can count on the full support of the Rito.[11] The Sage of Wind will then bestow upon Tulin the Secret Stone, awakening a new Sage of Wind.[12]
