Jiahto is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
Jiahto is a Zora who lives in Zora's Domain. He can be found at the very back of the domain, reading the Stone Monument.[1] The monument tells the history of the Zora, as written by King Dorephan. The monuments are found through the Lanayru region and Jiahto hopes to write a book about the history, so he is reading the monument.[2]
At first Jiahto doesn't recognize Link, but once he does, he becomes more angered by Link. Like many of the other elders of Zora's Domain, he blames Link and the Hylians for stealing away Lady Mipha.[3] He also blames the Hylians for failing to stop Calamity Ganon.[4] He does not want to talk with Link and the sight of his face sickens him.[5]
Tears of the Kingdom
In Tears of the Kingdom, Jiahto can be found investigating Zora ruins located at Toto Lake. During the Sidon of the Zora quest, Sidon asks Link to visit Jiahto, who might have more information related to the Sludge and Princess Zelda's disappearance.
When Link arrives, Jiahto has found one of the ancient Zora stone slates, which has text written on it that relates to The Sky. The slate is broken, however, and it cannot be read entirely in its current form. Jiahto wishes that the missing fragment of the slate can be found somewhere. This conversation begins The Broken Slate main quest.
