Wooden Carvings are rewards of the Riddle Quest in the Game Boy Advance port of A Link to the Past.
There are three Wooden Carvings that Link can get from Q. Bumpkin after he answers certain questions in the Riddle Quest. A woodcarving of a Cucco will be placed in Link's House after he solves the first riddle ("Cock-a-doodle-doo!"). A woodcarving of Link will be placed in his house after he solves the fourth riddle ("It's moist and fresh…"). Finally, a woodcarving of Princess Zelda will be placed in his house after he solves the seventh riddle ("It munches on nuts…").
There are a few things that Link can do with these carvings:
- If Link sprinkles Magic Powder on a carving once, it will begin to sparkle.
- If Link sprinkles Magic Powder on a carving two times, it will become colored.
- If Link sprinkles Magic Powder on a carving three times, it will switch into an alternate Dark World form.
