The Silver Rupee is a valuable Rupee in all games it appears in except for Ocarina of Time. It is only found in Treasure Chests in all other games it appears in.

In Ocarina of Time, the Silver Rupee is used as a challenge in dungeons. Certain dungeons require Link to collect all the Silver Rupees in a room to unlock a hidden area or locked area.
