The Sage is a character from The Adventure of Link.
The Adventure of Link
The Sage is encountered at the end of the Great Palace after defeating Thunderbird and serves as the protector of the Triforce of Courage. As a final test, he creates Link's greatest challenge: his own Shadow.
After Link defeats this final enemy, he is awarded the Triforce of Courage and is able to break the spell cast on Princess Zelda I.
