Romanos is a character from Phantom Hourglass who resides on Molida Island with his mother. Romanos father, the Old Wayfarer, left him and his mother to go exploring and looking for adventure and the romance of the seas. Romanos, unlike his mother, has been unable to forgive his father for this.[1]

The first time Link encounters Romanos, and starts to ask him about the whereabouts of his father, Romanos will get infuriated and will ask Link to leave. When Link is about to leave his house, Romanos has a change of mind and summons Link back, and gives Link hints on how to find his father's hideaway.[2][3][4]

After Link has completed the Temple of Courage, Romanos will open his Shooting Gallery where Link can take on a game for 20 Rupees.[5] When Link wins a game, he can be awarded with a Large Quiver and a Piece of Heart.

Romanos commonly said before that, his father was a failure, but when anyone talks about anything to do with him, he will get upset because of the momentos of him. His father left him, but Romanos still loves him and definitely misses him.
