The Poe Collector makes his only appearance in Ocarina of Time and has a hobby and curiosity of collecting poes. The Poe Collector was alive at the time when Link was a child, however, when he became a ghost, it is unspecified how he died. Link encounters him as an adult, and sees him as a Poe Collector, as the name suggests. He collects poes in a cage that are angry spirits that hates life. After Ganondorf tormented Castle Town, the Poe Collector thought that it was a perfect time to start a shop there, and started one that he calls the Ghost Shop. If Link brings him a Big Poe that is found outside in Hyrule Field, he will put 100 points on his card and grant him with 50 Rupees. Furthermore, when collecting 10 Big Poes of total, he will reward Link with an Empty Bottle.
Trivia
- When Link talks to the soldier at nighttime at the exact same locale as the Poe Collector is in, he will state that he is interested in ghosts and that studying ghosts is a hobby of his. It is possible that the soldier and the Poe Collector is the same.
