Mt. Hylia is a location in Breath of the Wild where it serves as the highest points within the Great Plateau

Overview

Due to its higher elevation, My. Hylia is a cold and snow-filled area within Great Plateau. It has a natural topography associated with most mountains, with many cliffs and paths leading to its peak. The area does have some Bokoblin camps that inhabit the region.

The first time that Link arrives at the peak of Mt. Hylia, he will be greeted by the Old Man. It is here that he will teach Link the Scope ability for the Sheikah Slate. Also, if Link does not have the proper attire, the Old Man will be impressed by Links ability to navigate such a cold area. He will reward Link with the Quilted Shirt, an item that allows Link to be more resistant to the cold.

Also at the peak of the mountain, Link can search the area to find miscellaneous material including Flint.

There are multiple Shrine of Trials in the Mt. Hylia region of Great Plateau. Just northwest of the peak there is another, smaller peak where the Shrine Ke Numut can be found. It is located at a higher elevation near a small icy pond. Also to the far southeast portion of the mountain range is the Shrine Owa Daim

Location

Mt. Hylia is located at the southwest portion of the Great Plateau, just southwest of the Hylia River.
