The Golden Goddesses are Din, Nayru, and Farore. When only the chaos was in the universe, the Golden Goddesses created the world and left behind the Triforce and departed to the heavens. They are each attributed with a certain trait. Din is the Goddess of Power, Nayru is the Goddess of Wisdom, and Farore is the Goddess of Courage. The Golden Goddesses tasked Hylia to protect the newborn world and the Triforce. The Golden Goddesses inhered their power in the three crests of the Triforce. After Ganondorf caused the Triforce to be split into three pieces, The Golden Goddesses desired the other two pieces of the Triforce to appear on the hands of two individuals, Link and Zelda.
