A Fairy Tonic is an item in Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
Breath of the Wild
Fairy Tonic is an elixir which will restore Link's health by a certain number of hearts, the amount of which depends on the strength. It can be cooked by mixing a Fairy with various monster parts and creatures.
As it's its intended purpose, the Fairy Tonic and the Hearty Elixir are the only elixirs that replenish hearts, as all other elixirs provide only buffs with no heart-replenishing.
Age of Calamity
The recipe for Fairy Tonic is obtained by completing the Unexpected Discovery quest. Using it for a scenario will revive a player character once upon KO, similar to a bottled fairy in other games in The Legend of Zelda series.
