Tears of the Kingdom

"A Zonai device that holds concentrated Zonai-charge energy. Use it to provide temporary power to other Zonai devices."

— In-game description

Batteries can be obtained in Zonai Capsules, or found lying around in places. When attached to powered Zonai Devices, they are used before Link's Energy Cell is drained, extending the devices' usable time. When fully drained, batteries generally auto-destruct. More powerful version, simply known as "Big Batteries", also exist.

An unusual, rechargeable, battery can be found in Shrines of Light such as Mogawak Shrine; which are fuelled by electricity generated by Link in the shrine and can be recharged repeatedly. They cannot be removed from the shrine.
