A Link to the Past features four obtainable bottles. These bottles can be used to store fairies, potions, or even bees if desired. This page will list the location of each bottle below, as well as how to obtain it.
Location: Kakariko Village.
Conditions: After obtaining 100 rupees.
- The first Bottle is located in Kakariko Village, which is in the northwest part of Hyrule. This Bottle can be purchased for 100 Rupees. You buy it from the merchant that is sitting on top of a carpet.
Location: Kakariko Village.
Conditions: None.
- The second Bottle is also located in Kakariko Village. It is in the tavern located in the southeastern part of the Village. Enter the long building on its northern side, where there is a secret entrance. Open the treasure chest to get the Bottle.
Location: East of Link's House.
Conditions: After obtaining the Zora's Flippers.
- The third Bottle is a little hard to find. It is located just east of the starting screen. From Link's House go right another screen where you will find a bridge. Walk across the bridge and then head right until you find a place where you can jump into the river. Once you are in the river swim back towards the bridge and under it, where there is a man nearby. Talk to him and he will give the third Bottle.
Location: South of the Eastern Palace.
Conditions: After obtaining the Tempered Sword.
- You will need to get your sword tempered before you can get this Bottle. In the Dark World, head back to the Swordsmiths' Shop, which is just east of the Village of Outcasts. In the location where Shop would be is a run down place with a locked treasure chest. Go next to the treasure chest and it will start to follow you.
- Head back into the main part of the Village of Outcasts with the treasure chest following you. You cannot jump down anything or the treasure chest will stay behind. Go south of the Village of Outcasts. Make your way all the way to where Link's House would be in the Dark World. Now go south and keep going until you have reached the southern part of Hyrule. From the Swamp Palace head west and keep going until the next screen. Then use the Magic Mirror and go into the Light World. From here go up a little and talk to the guy that is sitting next to a sign. Talk to him with the treasure chest and he'll open it for you. The treasure inside is the last Bottle.
