The Sheikah Sensor is an upgrade to the Sheikah Slate in Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity.
Appearances
Breath of the Wild
The Sheikah Sensor targets Shrines and bleeps when Link is close to one, louder and more frequently as he moves closer; and the opposite as he moves further away.
Bringing three Ancient Screws to Purah as part of the Slated for Upgrades side quest gives Link the option to upgrade the Sensor to the Sheikah Sensor +. This allows Link to search for any item catalogued in the Hyrule Compendium, rather than only Shrines.
Age of Calamity
The Sheikah Sensor is unlocked by completing the Needed: Researchers!. It allows the player to highlight materials for up to two other quests, or any five materials he has already obtained, on the map. Quests highlighted as such are also available to view in the pause menu during Scenarios.
