Popla Foothills Excavation Site is a location in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
The site is located just near the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. From just south of the tower, Link can find the entrance to the cave. Imprisoned within the cave is Elmerson, who was sent over to do some repairs on the Skyview Tower. When Link enters the cave from the south, he can step on the floor switch, freeing Elmerson. As a reward, Elmerson will give Link a Purple Rupee. When Link then returns to the Skyview Tower, he will be able to activate it as Elmerson has completed the repairs.
The excavation site connects with the bottom of the Popla Foothills North Well, which can be found north of where Elmerson is imprisoned. At the west side of the excavation site, there is a treasure chest behind a closed gate. In front of the treasure chest, there is a square switch on the ground. Link can grab the chest and drop it on the square switch, opening the gate. The chest itself contains a Topaz gem.
Across from where the treasure chest is located, Link can climb up and walk around to a new corridor. Here the Bubbulfrog can be found on the ceiling.
